Labor & Employment Partner Opportunity

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Partner to join its growing Los Angeles office.

This is an opportunity for an established Labor & Employment attorney to join a sophisticated national platform and play an important role in the continued development of the firm's California practice. The firm advises a diverse client base, including major corporations and other leading organizations, on complex labor and employment matters, combining practical day-to-day counseling with sophisticated litigation and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including strategy, discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial.
  • Advise and communicate with clients regarding case strategy, developments, and potential outcomes.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, arbitrations, and settlement proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
  • Evaluate legal issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with paralegals and attorneys to prepare cases for trial.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar admission.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience in employment law.
  • Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters independently.
  • Significant experience practicing Labor & Employment law, ideally with a strong employer-side practice.
  • Substantial experience advising employers and/or handling employment litigation and disputes.
  • Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Established client relationships and a demonstrated ability to develop business are preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hybrid schedule — 3 days in office.
  • 1,750 annual billable-hour requirement.

Both Equity and Non-Equity Partner opportunities are available, with compensation structures that include a guaranteed draw and performance-based incentives tied to originations and/or firm performance.
