We are looking for a Music Teacher for an International school located in Guangzhou. Teachers benefit from strong professional support, modern teaching facilities, and the chance to be part of a mission-driven institution shaping the next generation of globally minded learners.Job ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver Music across PYP/MYP (and DP where applicable), aligned with IB frameworks, ATL skills, and the Learner Profile.Lead ensembles (band/choir/orchestra), teaching instrumental technique, ensemble skills, theory, composition, and listening/analysis.Design coherent units with clear conceptual understandings; use formative and summative assessments aligned to programme criteria, with timely feedback and documented evidence (recordings/portfolios).Differentiate for a wide range of ages and abilities, including beginners and advanced performers; support EAL/SEN learners and integrate music technology where appropriate.Organize concerts, recitals, festivals, and assemblies; manage auditions, rehearsal schedules, calendars, and logistics with colleagues.Maintain instruments, inventory, and specialist spaces; ensure safe, responsible use and risk management.Collaborate with homeroom/subject teachers and coordinators for vertical/horizontal alignment and transdisciplinary links; participate in professional learning, moderation, and whole-school events.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or related field; teaching qualification preferredTwo or more years of music teaching experience; experience across primary and secondary is an advantageIB experience preferred (MYP Arts and/or DP Music); familiarity with PYP transdisciplinary learningSalary and benefitsMonthly salary of 25,000 to 30,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualificationsRelocation allowance of 2,000 RMBAnnual flight allowance of up to 10,000 RMBWork Visa providedSummer and winter holidaysNational holidaysMedical insuranceLunch and shuttle bus provided by the schoolLaptop provided by the school
